That’s what we’ve been told Latino Connection is doing. In the social media world its what is what’s being talked about, what’s popular. We don’t mind keeping it real, we know we are a little fish in a small pond. Still, we won’t lie, it makes us feel a little giddy knowing we are what’s popular right now in our small world. However, our goal is to not just be trending for the “right now”. We endeavor to be a source that connects people to the companies that care about YOU as a person and the sacrifice you make to earn your dollars and where YOU choose to spend them. If you look at our first magazine and notice this, our third magazine, you will see that we aren’t the only ones trending. Companies are coming on board to show their wanting to commit to Latinos as well. Our community is trending thanks to the political climate while not fully a positive one, it is bringing many Latinos together to say in the words of singer Wisin, “Basta Ya!”. We also are pleased to share stories on artists and regular people with impactful stories who are trending in a genuine way. May we all continue to be positively TRENDING for years to come.
On another note, during this month America celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. Our Hispanic heritage is something that many of us celebrate on a daily basis whether by spending precious time with our families, enjoying our music, savoring our food, or simply being thankful that we have been blessed to be Latino/Hispanic. For this issue, we have decided to dedicate Hispanic Heritage month to our mothers and abuelas. The Latina woman is a strong fixture in our households. This quarter we feature two mothers: one a celebrity who provides us with great insight on breast cancer awareness and another who changed her life for her baby girl. We value them and other Latina women for their dedication to their families. We are grateful to all the women in our lives who have taught us our culture, made us proud of who we are, and where we come from. Latino Connection once again thanks you for taking the time to read our publication, and for sharing your lives with us on Facebook at Latino Connection, via Twitter @Latinoconnectpa, on Instagram at Latino Connection, on our website at www.thelatinoconnection.net, and with our partners throughout the community at large.
