In thinking what I want for this holiday season. I have come to the decision that it is YOU! Let me be more clear. What I want are healthy relationships with all the people around me, near me, and who share my space on a global level. PEACE. I want you to find and be at peace. There is so much discord in our world. We all seem to be suffering from one issue or another whether our physical, mental, or financial health. No matter if it’s within our selves, our families, our friends, neighbors, no one is really immune The upside is that we can stay positive by wishing the very best for ourselves, our loved ones, and even those we may not know…our fellow humans.
The one thing we can agree that has always had the power to bring people together is FOOD! For this reason, we have made this issue our food issue with popular recipes from different countries such as Puerto Rican Coquito, Dominican Mangu, and Colombian Arepas. We have even have the fortune of getting a recipe straight from our favorite Mexican-American Chef Aaron Sanchez from shows such as Chopped and Taco Trip. How many of us can remember the memories we shared where food was the central theme maybe it was a potluck, a bridal or baby shower, a traditional holiday family gathering, a picnic, or just a snack among friends. Food brings us together in a joyous way.
On another note, as a recap, in less than six months we have proudly brought you four issues of The Latino Connection Magazine.
